3rd time lucky

When I got home tonight the mailman had once again dropped off a goody package from my Crochetville Secret Pal:
Hosted by Photobucket.com
5 skeins of homespun in Tudor a very pretty purple/teal/green/cream combo, 2 more CD's: How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb and the Garden State soundtrack. I am downloading the music as I type. Secret Pal you are amazing!!

I went looking and found 2 patterns that I like for this yarn:

or

What do you think?

I think I prefer the second one, the cape. Looks warm and cozy, plus I don't much care for short ponchos, although they're supposed to be in this season... :)

OMG! That cape pattern is one I just printed last night to try out! How funny. I can't wait to see what you make with the yarn I sent ya!

I'm so glad that you enjoy the packages I have sent. It makes me so happy.

Your Secret Pal,
Me!

Colette,

Elizabeth (3-olive) from C'ville did HollyM's butterfly shawl with a P hook and 2 skeins of Homespun. I plan to try it later this week. It's a gorgeous shawl, plus you would have leftover Homespun!

The second one, the cape, definitely.

I think the little poncho is cute, but...

I haven't seen the cape before, and I love the way it looks... very elegant. If you're looking for votes, mine goes for the cape, too (it looks like it might just be unanimous).

I like both those patterns. I think it depends on what you would like wearing too. But, I will say that the cape has me mesmerized at the moment. Maybe it's the very pretty model, the look of the romantic 40/50s?
